Winners Young Masters Awards 2017  

MAF introduced the work of 14 recently graduated national and international media artists. All of them were eligible to compete for the MAF Young Masters Award and Audience Award.

Astrid Bink won the MAF Young Masters Award 2017 for her work Artificial Movement and received an artist in residency spot of one month at AADK Spain, near the Spanish town of Blanca.

The MAF Audience Award was awarded to the Swiss collective Bildspur for their interactive light installation LED Forest.

The winner of the Young Masters Award 2017 is selected by an international jury consisting of:

Elena Azzedín, who is an international visual artist and the director of the artist in residency programs of AADK Spain, where the winner of the MAF Young Masters Award may work for a month in 2018 and will have an exposition.

Liubov Moskvina, a young driven Russian-German media artist who has several projects on international festivals to her name, for instance LUX Helsinki, SEE Djerba and the Amsterdam Light Festival 2017.

Valerie van Zuijlen, winner of the MAF Young Masters Award 2016; since MAF she has participated in a program in computer science and electrical engineering at Stanford University and she has presented her new work ‘The Cellular Aura’ at the Dutch Design Week.
