VOICES

LUNA 2022 took place from March 17th to April 3rd. For nearly three weeks we enjoyed media art of young national and international talents in the Stationskwartier in Leeuwarden, with an interesting side program around our 2022-theme Voices.

From March 24th to 26th LUNA Nights enchanted the city centre of Leeuwarden with light artworks of artists from all over the world.

THEME

Last year the pandemic put the world on hold. With our 2020/21 themeHere and Now, we took the time to reflect: to dive deeper in our present and research the cracks that came to existence during the crisis.

In the transmission to a post-pandemic era, we’re still trying to grab a hold of how life has changed and how we can shape our present and future. With the focus on this challenge, our theme for 2022 is Voices. After many long and silent months of solitude and isolation, voices seem to be buzzing in the air. Vibrations seem to form under our feet. Or do they come from within us? We worden omringd door het geroezemoes van de technologie, de taal en de cijfers van de wetenschap, het gefluister van samenzweringen, de roep om verandering, het gezang van de natuur.

Met Voices openden we gesprekken tussen kunst, wetenschap en technologie met verbeelding, speculatie en actie.
