Nathanaël Koonstra (1995, NL)

Electronic dance musician by trade, Nathanaël Koonstra undertook a special journey when looking for new inspiration and motivation to reinvigorate his career. In an attempt to create a symbiosis between his two backgrounds (and obsessions), music and spatial planning and design, he executed multiple experiments converting landscapes and its features to interesting patterns or textures he could use in his music. 

Nathan (also known as NATEN in the EDM scene) recently obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Popular Culture at the Academy of Pop Culture in Leeuwarden. He is currently pursuing another degree in Urban/Spatial Planning and Design. These (on the surface very different) backgrounds give him a unique perspective on the world that aids him in creating his work.
