Perception Bias
We asked Clemens Rudolph to create new work around the festival theme ‘Nothing Changes’. Previously, he drew attention to themes such as global warming and the relationship between nature, man and technology with original, partly photographic, partly abstract and humorous video mappings. ‘James’ is a visual poem projected onto the characteristic concrete tower in the Zakenhart. The main character keeps running. Sometimes it seems we are just running in life, against our better judgment. At the same time, running is a pleasant mindset, like a constant flow. For the artist, the recurring movements of running itself are symbolic of ‘Nothing Changes’: everything returns, nothing really changes.
From a background in street art, Clemens Rudolph developed into a producer and artist of film, computer animation and computer graphics. He specializes in projections on facades, rooms, and objects.
