Ingo Wendt (DE)

The kinetic projection system Chronotop unconventionally visualises the passage of an individual, contemplative time, which each viewer can define for themselves. The analogue live projections of the device, its colourful dial and clockwork are displayed on circular projection screens. Four cylinders are powered according to the principle of planetary motion. The machine also creates a spatial light show and invites you to immerse yourself and forget time.

The work of German artist Ingo Wendt (1964, DE) is based on kinetics and light. In his work, he likes to show the value of analogue image generators. From everyday materials such as confetti, soap bubbles or rubbish, he creates powerful visual experiences. Wendt is usually present throughout the festival period, observing how the audience reacts to his work and happy to talk about it on the spot in a compelling way.
