In “Laser Symphony,” a dreamlike atmosphere welcomes, embraces and engages the audience with an ever-changing interactive choreography. Visitors walk freely through a network of interwoven red laser beams, placed at ground level. Each laser beam, when crossed, triggers a specific sound and visual effect: a musical note, from a set of tailored sounds; and a specific laser mapping projection, which highlights details and shapes of the surrounding architectural façades. The site is re-defined, by and for the visitors. A dynamic and contemplative audiovisual experience takes the audience beyond the physical space.

Collective AreaOdeon was founded in 2005 under the direction of Marcello Arosio. Its aim is to promote experiment and research in contemporary art. Over the years, AreaOdeon has increasingly focused on multimedia, audiovisual and interactive environments by creating events, installations, audiovisual 3D mapping performances that emphasize a close relationship between visual arts, architecture, cultural context and historical references.
