How robust are our ways of thinking? Why are we as we are? Why are we doing things the way we do them? Are our norms and values seemingly more fluid once you explore them? The urge to find out, shows itself in things like personality theories created over time. However, these personality theories differ widely from each other; just the way personalities do. These questions where the beginning of the creation of the reactive, interactive audiovisual installation called The Womb.

Specially for LUNA 2019 the creators of the installation, music maker and beat magician Wander Kars (known for a.o. HuSo and Bastard Sugar); visual artist and VJ Stieneke Dijkstra (previously worked for Sensation White, Transmission (Prague), Escape Amsterdam); and IT-expert Thijs Zijlstra; came together to take a deep dive and explore where their expertises meet. This collaboration has created an impressive audiovisual installation about illusions of life. Do we even come close to the truth? Or are we on a timeless search?
