26 January – 11 February
The overarching theme for LUNA 2024 is Moving Heads. We want to excite and challenge people, to move their heads. Moving Heads represents the people who literally move through the city to seek art. With our extensive Currents programme, we try to make heads both turn in the same direction and face each other head-on. And of course, we refer to the large, highly mobile lamps that are sure to be on display again this year during LUNA, that will explore a new part of the city (Spoordokgebied) during LUNA Nights.
26 jan – 11 feb
During LUNA Young Masters exhibition the light and media art works by 14 young national and international talents were on show.
In Leeuwarden’s city centre and the Spoordok area, there were beautiful light artworks by fifteen national and international creators to be seen.
In the side programme Currents, we seek depth around our theme Moving Heads. From festive evenings to networking opportunities and not to forget our Theme Nights, where we can turn our heads in a different direction thanks to guest speakers, panels, presentations and discussions.
LUNA & Friends: projects of institutions, businesses and friends who like to be part of our programme on their own and are therefore very welcome guests. During LUNA Nights, they can also be found around town and on our map. Those who have such friends have nothing to fear.
