Collectif Scale (FR)
Flux was created in 2021 for the Constellations Festival in Metz, France. The kinetic construction, composed of lines of dynamic light, is motorised and controlled in real time. Lines multiply, with subtle variations and at different speeds and amplitudes, forming an organic object of sometimes poetic, sometimes raging waves. Spectators can influence the light, music, and illumination by touch. The elegant, playfully moving elements are reminiscent of the beauty of DNA. For LUNA 2024, Collectif Scale is making an adaptation of the work for the courtyard of Natuurmuseum Friesland. The music is by Grégory Sémah.
Paris-based Collectif Scale (FR) is a group of makers from different professional and artistic backgrounds, who bring together their expertise in extraordinary experiments. The collective explores the links between sound and visual art, light and architectural design, entertainment and contemporary art, nature and the future, man and machine.
